A Writer’s Blog
Hello and welcome to the blog of a struggling writer. As a mother of a newborn and a Down Syndrome toddler, and a business owner, not to mention wife, homeowner, studious Christian, Bush-hater, avid reader, and the million OTHER hats I wear, I’m finding it harder and harder to get back to my one true love: writing. In fact, I have been working on a fantasy novel for several years now, and have been editing it - or rather, avoiding editing it since its completion at NANOWRIMO in November, 2003. In addition, I’d like to add creative non-fiction to my venue and write a book on spirituality - or at least my brand of it, something akin to Anne Lamott’s “Traveling Mercies”. Plus, one of my REAL passions is poetry. In fact, I do what I do professionally (web design) as a way to find unique and innovative ways to breathe new, non-slamming life into something I adore: POETRY.
I’m going to try to write twice a week, if not more, to encourage myself to write more. Tips, suggestions and everything else on living as a writer rather than a coward highly welcome!
